Wildcats & Bison settle in well to Highland winter

Alladale Wilderness Reserve Head Ranger, David Clark, reports that both the wildcats and the European bison have settled in beautifully to their new home in the Scottish Highlands.

Both species took last week's severe storms "in their stride" and David ("Poppy") is delighted with their progress.  Lightning and heavy snow took the Highlands by surprise last week after one of the most mild autumns for many years. The investment in a light-tracked Polarus vehicle is already proving a sound move as heavy snow drifts normally present big access problems in the glens where the wildcats and bison are located.
